Sitting on the curb with an old man sitting next to me He said, son will you play me a memory? I don't know how it goes again. Down by the watermelon patch, I saw another just like the other. He said, will you play me anything from your childhood? I met someone just like you. -Jackson

Baseball Games

Mama, can I get a snow cone at the concussion stand?

Politics

Mama, I'm drawing the state of Arkansas. I know I should color it red, right?

Well hello there...

Why yes we are still here with these silly boys and crazy happenings. I'm so very sad I've let so much time pass and haven't jotted down even the tiniest of stories for record keeping purposes. I've many furtive notes in my phone to try to remember instances such as ...the time Eli got his bright yellow polo so filthy playing outside we all played I Spy and found Africa, a spoon and a tiny potion bottle in the stains. Or the time Eli sneezed and I told him how adorable it was so he asked "Mama, you like my sneezes but do you also like my blowsez?" Or the whole saga of Jackson trying to convince me he might have full-on asthma. Yes, he has a preventive inhaler but is mostly just a respiratory-prone kid. However, he likes to up the stakes and told me that we was having trouble breathing. I said if that was the case then we should cancel his soccer game. He said "well if I start to have an attack I will give you a signal to take me out of the game."
