Well hello there...

Why yes we are still here with these silly boys and crazy happenings.
I'm so very sad I've let so much time pass and haven't jotted down even the tiniest of stories for record keeping purposes.
I've many furtive notes in my phone to try to remember instances such as ...the time Eli got his bright yellow polo so filthy playing outside we all played I Spy and found Africa, a spoon and a tiny potion bottle in the stains.
Or the time Eli sneezed and I told him how adorable it was so he asked "Mama, you like my sneezes but do you also like my blowsez?"
Or the whole saga of Jackson trying to convince me he might have full-on asthma. Yes, he has a preventive inhaler but is mostly just a respiratory-prone kid. However, he likes to up the stakes and told me that we was having trouble breathing. I said if that was the case then we should cancel his soccer game. He said "well if I start to have an attack I will give you a signal to take me out of the game."
A signal?
"Yes, I will look at you and drop to my knees."
So to help with his asthma I've enrolled him in a drama camp this summer.

Another of my faves was when the school provided each kid with a fancy dictionary. Jackson immediately came home that afternoon and complained because "all the kids started looking up the word SEX to see if it was in there."
"And you know what, mama? It was!"
"And what was the definition?"
"Someone's gender. But they were all talking about it. I was trying to play tag and they were all seeeeex!"
